The best robot vacuum and mop Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those looking to get rid of mopping off their list of things to do. Some models have superior mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However, if you are buying this vacuum solely for mopping, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and methodically. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will affect how fast the device will traverse your home. You can also disable the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

It's expensive, however it has many useful features. It is important to note, however, that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent Amazon rating and robot vacuum and mop comes with a wide range of physical automation features. It has an energy button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning task. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empties the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop (horowitz-poulsen-3.thoughtlanes.net), that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping unit that is equipped with an elastomer pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to shield specific areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair from pets. It was able to capture some of the hair that our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that let you know when it was about to start or finished its work.

The app was too basic and you had to change the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app isn't able to contain multiple maps, which can be a pain for homes that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot vacuums that mop, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base has several control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle the child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another potential downside is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by bulky boxes and clunky models.
