So You ve Bought Item Upgrade ... Now What
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. A random extra substat is also added to each upgrade.
The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. The item upgrade used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks to keep your equipment up to date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item upgrader mod, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be bought by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will show an image of the item upgrader mod at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current level of the item Level Upgrade. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
Many locations offer item upgraders which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and the chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades must be acquired through various methods that are both an improvement but also a drawback.
In Season 3 the upgrade system was modified a bit, and several new features added. After a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, item Level Upgrade will cost less. This applies even if the items come from an entirely different set of gear.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a couple of options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrade level upgrades. Crests are an integral component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to be aware of is that crests can only be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and every rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, depending on the kind of gear being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by completing content of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when an item reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. It is Best item upgrader to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
