Now That You ve Purchased Item Upgrade ... Now What
WoW Upgrades - The item upgrading Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. A random extra substat is also added to each upgrade.
The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item level upgrade that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.
The cost of upgrades will be based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that are used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. They are purchased by players through Best item upgrader upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item level. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining the latest recipe. The upgrade discount increases with the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a benefit as well as a disadvantage.
In Season 3 the upgrade system was modified a bit, and numerous new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a specific level of an item upgrades for a specific armor slot, upgrading further items to the same level will be less expensive, even if they belong to another set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is available across all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW, players have a couple of options. Flightstones are an item level upgrade that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
First, you should know that Crests are only available to equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex may require as many as 20 crests depending on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulties for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.
The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it brings some changes to the upgrade process. For instance, once an item reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another important change is that crests have one usage therefore it's essential to use them wisely. For instance, it's a good idea to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrader gear you have available and save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
