Path of Exile Item upgrade Upgrading

The most effective way to upgrade your gear in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you improve it without having to rely on expensive drops or trades. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items.

Upgrading equipment grants an additional bonus to the item's base stats. The bonus increases with upgrade component's level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the items that improve your armor and weapons more effective. You can acquire them by the destruction of enemies, finding them in item upgrading spheres, or buying them from karma dealers. You can also get them from equipment containing the components or by using high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items, upgrade components are not destroyed when they are removed from an item.

The main purpose of upgrade components is to enable an item upgrade to be upgraded but they also serve other purposes. They can be stacked in order to boost the level or experience gained by upgrading existing weapons or gear. They can be made for extra bonuses. For instance, a crafted glyph will boost the chance of upgrading its target, while a boost upgrade will boost the defense or attack property of a weapon, or armor.

You can connect an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the upgrade components that the item can be updated. You can also use the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either case the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components are collected.

Each component has a distinct experience multiplier that affects how much more experience an item gets when it is upgraded by that component. For instance, organic components give more experience multipliers than mechanical ones. You should upgrade organic components first until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment, and then switch to the mechanical upgrades.

Each item has an upgrade limit number that can be received. The number of upgrades are determined by the upgradeable rank and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. The highest upgrade possible is a weapon that is 10th level. The most popular weapon upgrade is a gun with tier 6 and an armor upgrade for tier 5.

Sets

A set is a set of items which all have the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at the least once. The upgrade will increase the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. When you first upgrade an item, its primary stat will be +1. On subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be increased even more (for instance the +1 bonus for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded one of its additional stats is increased randomly.

Upgrades to a weapon may increase the damage base, which may be crucial for certain builds. Weapons aren't upgraded to give an increased maximum defence roll than their base. It is possible to increase the value of certain set and unique items by upgrading them, however they may not always be better than a Runeword with a high level.

If you're upgrading an item with bonuses it can be rerolled once, and its guarantee will reset to zero. The same amount of power die is used to roll an item, just as it is used to level it up. However the new item comes with different bonuses. Upgrading can be done by visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll need a power die of each kind (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the proper amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be bought by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also give a special reward for each tier of the upgrade process. This reward is rerollable once and will be made using the same materials as the original item.

Rerolling

If a player has enough tokens for rerolling, they can play rerolling any item they've acquired during the game. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced by a level 1 version in another set. Reroll tokens are available from the store for small amounts of in-game currency, however they cannot be refunded. The new item upgraded will still come with the extra bonuses of the first, but its stats will be different too.

Players can change the identification of equipment in addition to rerolling it by interacting with an NPC upgrader. This will change the identity from a weapon to armor or vice versa, all the while keeping its basic stats and attributes that are required. The change is permanent and will affect all characters that own the gear in question.

Players can also boost the item level of any equipped equipment by obtaining upgrade items and conversing with the upgrader NPC of the item. The cost will differ based on the upgrade track, the item type and the number of crests. In the case of weapons, each step up will add 5% to its damage.

Upgrading an item can boost its power however it can reduce its effectiveness. Therefore, it is important to strike a balance between the two. Some items aren't worth upgrading, whereas others need to be upgraded to make them more effective. A player may want to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modifier ( percent block chance or FHR) in order to discover what it could become.

The primary reason people reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game is because they are trying to get a specific weapon or character that they can't otherwise obtain. These items can be costly and time-consuming to obtain and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only alternative is to spend real money or grind for a long time. Rerolling is a popular feature in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item upgrading. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I believe that this feature was intended to add some value to rare and expensive items. However, as most equipment is replaced quickly and can only be upgraded by one level, you will usually replace it before it becomes too old. It's also not worthwhile to level items that have gem sockets since the value of the gem will far outweigh the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.

You will see a small window when you click the upgrade option on an item. It will display the item's template, the crest, and the Valorstone cost to raise the item level. Armor and weapons will have different prices, with the latter generally being more expensive. The upgrade template lists the statistics that will be added to the upgraded item and also lists its current base ilvl.

The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated based on the item's current ilvl and the upgrade template. The ilvl is also decreased by the upgrade templates lvl reduction percentage. For example an upgrade of 8% can reduce the ilvl of a weapon by 8 to 8percent.

In addition to the base ilvl increase, the item will also receive upgrades in other stats such as critical strike damage, damage from PvE and block, parry and dodge rating. Those increases are also dependent on the upgrade template.

The amount of damage and defense that the item is able to receive when it is leveled can be shown below the upgrade cost and decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. All armor and weapons, except practice equipment, get these stats when they level up. The market determines the value of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can fetch an incredibly higher price than a non-upp’d version. The same applies to other armor pieces such as circlets or tiaras.
