World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades can be used to improve the stats of a particular item. Depending on the upgrade type it could increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.

Upgrades to equipment in The War Within requires a certain number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specified amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increases when it is upgraded. This is the sum of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, depending on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is due to the number of perks that have to be modified to upgrade an item.

It is also used as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is capped at the lower levels). The average level of the item upgrader mod is listed on the character sheet.

The level of an item can help players compare the power of equipment when they decide to buy or sell. It's a useful indicator of an item's quality and the amount of damage it will be capable of dealing with. Comparing items from the inventory of a seller can be done by using the level of the item.

On your PC, you can check the level of the item by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including the ilvl. It can also be located by hovering an item with the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are various theories about how the calculation of the item's level is carried out. One theory is that the item level is a number that comes from a formula that calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in the sockets increase the value of the item. This can result in a calculated value for the item's ilvl which is usually close to Blizzard's actual item level.

This isn't the only thing that affects the ilvl of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped can alter its stats. For instance it can add a level to the item's haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The item level upgrade's stats can make or break an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the best." The stat modifications of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by the player's level.

The upgrades to an item can increase its stats. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas items with rare tiers can be upgraded many times, at higher costs.

Affixes are a different method to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. Affixes are used to provide items with extra damage, special capabilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs), or to differentiate them by adding a name.

At present, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circles arrows. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold as well as items that can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other options for rerolling.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may select which of the available stats to be kept on an item when it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges for an item upgrader kit are based on the item level, but all items are guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the specified range, unless it is an item that is unique or a God roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could change is the option to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the attachments, or pick which stats to enhance. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item basis and the interface for item comparison will not show all the stats that could be gained or lost at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the chances of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops and the strength of the properties. It doesn't, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player an opportunity to get better gear earlier in the game. This is more advantageous in the early game, since players tend to prioritize the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.

Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increase with each item level. They can also be increased with the use of anti-materials, such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on their material type) to add another 40 luck or to boost the luck of the item to 140.

Certain items, such as the Hollow-infused weapon, can also be equipped to increase the damage dealt by any ability that deals damage by 5%. These items are available in the shop, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. Cash shop items can be used to increase the chance of success of an upgrade or item upgrader to stop players from losing their items if it is not successful.

The rate of success of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of completing the upgrade successfully and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased so much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail can't exceed 100%..

The luck of an item can affect the effectiveness of an upgrade. Every item upgrader has a base success rate of 25% and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by five percent.

Note that upgrades to items are rendered above the items in the inventory, so enchantment glint and other effects may be obscured by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
