It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature that we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

The latest flagship model from iRobot is also its smartest. It features advanced features, like enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).

It's the only robot vacuum that mops vacuum/mop that scored a perfect 10 in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can completely self-refill and empty its base station, and boasts an industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

You can use it to create cleaning schedules, plan a spot clean or to prioritize your most filthy rooms to ensure better performance. The app also grants access to a variety of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, which means it can get to corners and underneath furniture better. It has a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction and clever combs for removing pet hair. You can also organize a spot-cleaner that thoroughly cleans a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's more appealing, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It's good at vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to getting caught on low thresholds and is noisier than the other top robot vacuums we've examined. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that isn't able to double as a bin for emptying.
