Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our bare floor tests and are particularly effective in cleaning pet hair. There are some issues however, which hinder them from being our first choice. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to get stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate through rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that can see around corners.
Still, it's very good to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on a Roomba from iRobot, and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. It's also quiet and operates when you're at work or in school. The only thing it lacks that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has self-emptying docks, however. If you want to, you can switch the mopping pad to a dry one in seconds.

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that can also sweep floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps as well as nimble navigation make it easy to clean and effective in tackling larger particles such as pet hair. It also comes with an impressive suction system and a self-emptying bin. It's the best robotic hoover for carpets but it falls behind some competitors in terms of deep cleaning.

The robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular design that looks much like a Roomba unit than the boxy models from the rivals. It is one of our most attractive looking robot vacuum cleaner uk vacuums. The newest model from iRobot is its most advanced and has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot mop that can autonomously wash mop pads).
It's the only robotic hoovers vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 in our evaluations thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully self-refill and empty its base station, and boasts an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The vacuum cleaner comes with the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to accomplish the task. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vac works and alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home depending on the amount of dirt they are.
If you own a larger home, it is worth selecting a model with a the option of cleaning zones or spots. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or to set up the spot-cleaning. It can also be used to it to rank your most filthy areas to improve performance. The app has a range of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.
