World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them; the item level upgrade must have been at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the item to which it is used (for example "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment with fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of an item will be available at the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know what will be improved following the reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it is likely that the item will be obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes within the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

In the final game you'll often discover that the best way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs You will have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For example, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can make the item more expensive if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item upgrader kit that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times which increases their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is very valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each each time you upgrade an item it is given a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained like the chance to crit attack damage, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

If an item upgrade is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to the value of the base item. For example an item level upgrade of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For example they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will need to bring each piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade requires the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade item.
