The best robot vacuum cleaner and mop Robot Hoover

The best automatic vacuum robot hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention. It leaves your floors spotless. Its low cost and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are great features.

Make sure to check your robot's brushes regularly for tangled debris and hair. Clean them as needed. Certain models also automatically empty the onboard dust bin and place it in an additional bin at the base. This reduces the amount fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've tested. They are equipped with top-of-the-line motors which can produce up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other premium iRobots (including the top model) they utilize intelligent mapping to design precise floorplans and avoid household obstacles like furniture legs. They also come with carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it detects the presence of dirt on the carpet in order to get it clean quickly.

Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our tests on floors that are bare, and they're particularly adept in cleaning pet hair. There are some issues, however, that prevent them from being our top option. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is that its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to getting stuck on shoes and socks, and it couldn't navigate through rooms with a lot of people well during our tests. It also doesn't have an image sensor that lets it see the corners of a room.

It's still a great deal particularly if your office or home has a lot of unfinished floors and you're looking to save money. It's also very quiet and can be used while you are at work or school. The only thing it lacks that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. And it's less effective at mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't stay on very well and can't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle however. And, if you need to change the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into a compact, sleek package. Its intelligent cleaning maps as well as quick navigation make it easy to clean and effective in tackling larger particles, like pet hair. It also features a self-emptying bin as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot automatic hoover for carpets, although it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors that help it keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time to offer more efficient cleaning. You can change the schedule of cleaning and even customize zones using the app that is well-designed. Its battery life is average compared to similar models.

If the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to take off and extend its mop. This can help avoid cross contamination. Its flex arm can also be utilized to reach under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean the entire house with only 66 percent of its battery left. It also did an excellent job cleaning a range of rooms and floors with different flooring types, including certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was top-of-the-line and it swiftly eluded fake dog socks, turds, shoes and cables.

It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It is able to clean floors even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competitors' boxes This robot vacuum and mop combo is among the most attractive looking models in our reviews. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It features advanced features such as enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score a perfect 10 in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can completely autonomously refill and empty its base station, and boasts an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

Like other iRobot models as well, the X40 is easy to use, offering a simple mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's still quite a noisy unit, which can be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you try to fall asleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, although it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally powerful and more attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's extremely powerful however it's more expensive and make more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with many advanced features to help you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine like Ecovacs' top-of-the-range X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and fills up the water tank, and washes and dries the mop pads.

The smart robot uses an array of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, navigating more intelligently than some of its premium competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, although this wasn't quite foolproof in our testing and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its auto vacuum and mop cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to do the job. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home according to how dirty they tend to be.

If you own a larger home, it is worth choosing a model that has spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to inform the robot cleaner with mop of which area of your house needs to be cleaned by using the app or voice command. A stairway mode is useful if you own a lot furniture. Finally, a recharge and resume function that allows your robot vacuum to continue where it left off is ideal for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more intelligent than its price would suggest. It's a pro at cleaning, removing 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad, which uses an oscillating motion that does a better job cleaning than the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. It's self-sufficient too, with a fully-featured app as well as a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate a mapping run that collects data on your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or set up a spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize the most soiled areas to improve performance. The app has a range of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.

It is also able to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It is equipped with an impressive 8000 Pascal suction, as well as sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean which will thoroughly clean the area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek, cheaper alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It is excellent at vacuuming, however it is more likely to be caught on low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuums we have test. It also has a less user-friendly app and a tiny base station that doesn't double as an emptying bin.
