Its intelligent cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean, and effective in tackling larger particles such as pet hair. It also has a powerful suction and an automatic bin for emptying. It's the best robot cleaner robotic hoover for carpets, however it falls behind some competitors in terms of deep cleaning.
This highly efficient mop and vacuum combo uses advanced sensor technology to dodge obstacles and pet waste, and it learns your home's layout over time to provide more efficient cleaning. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot vacuum/mop combination.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
The robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular look that looks much like a Roomba unit than the boxy models of the rivals. It's one of our most attractive robot vacuums. iRobot's latest flagship model also is its most advanced and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).
It's also the only robotic vacuum/mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is due to the combination of high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.
As with other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering a simple mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only issue is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This could be a concern in the mornings before work, or during the night when you're trying to sleep.
It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as pricey as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are similarly capable and better-looking. If you're willing to live some more volume and some extra cost, this is a very capable two-in-one that should delight most.

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that help you forget your chores. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes charge of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, washes and dry the mop pads.
The smart robot employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles, making it more efficient than some of its premium rivals. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards but this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and could be confused with power cords or obstructions.
Its vacuum has a high suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to get the job done. It also comes with a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas in the home based on how dirty those areas tend to be.
If you have a bigger home, it's worth selecting a robot that comes with zones or spot cleaning modes. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home must be cleaned by using the app or voice control. A stair mode can be useful if you have a large furniture. For busy families, a recharge feature and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off could be very beneficial.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you might imagine from its price. It is a good vacuum cleaner, picking up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with a single pad that uses a reciprocating motion, which does a better job cleaning than the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self emptying base that is washable.
The iRobot app is designed to guide you through a mapping run, which gathers information on your floorplan and any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. You can use it to make cleaning schedules, plan the perfect spot for cleaning or sort out your rooms with the most dirt to ensure better performance. The app also gives access to many features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.
It is also able to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a strong suction of 8,000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for pet hair. You can also create a spot-clean that intensely cleans a localized area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, but it is more likely to be caught in low thresholds. It also has a higher noise than other top robot vacuums that we have examined. It also comes with an app that is less intuitive, and a smaller base station that doesn't double as a bin to empty.
