World of Warcraft Upgrades and item upgrade Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the Best item upgrader must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item upgrader kit, allowing players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would require to reach the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even in the event that they don't know what will be improved following the reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a substantial risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs, and there are some rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

The use of the Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For example that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes too.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the power of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also has its own bonus. This could be a drawback in that the item could become more expensive even if you do not require it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to do this. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial however it should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player continuously enters or exits the water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is highly important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of its non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader (written by xojh.cn) NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as the required strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each when you upgrade an item, it is given a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to revert to its original state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items might require different upgrades than regular gear. For example they may require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to carry every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of upgrade items ingredients in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
