Why Item Upgrade Is Still Relevant In 2024
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece and, sometimes, even add extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random enhancements used.
The elite racial Shield Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP and/or add additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradable than the perfect non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, like armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced with another item of the same type however with different bonuses. Reroll tokens can be an economical method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't retain the quality of the original item, and any wasted resources will not be refunded.
The survivors can get reroll tokens in several ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be located in crates and chests, or purchased from the market at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attributes of an item for example, increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.
Players can roll their equipment using three aspects that include physical power, magical power and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by melee and weapons, while spell power improves mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available such as upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a higher quality. To make them, you'll need a higher-quality token for rerolling. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
As opposed to other tokens or markers placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the spot until the next success result is rerolled. This allows you to avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the start of each preparation phase. They can be opened using Interact by pressing on them. When they are opened, they show an image and description of the Appliance or Ingredient. The restaurant's shop will trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.
This means that blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This alters the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop offers for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade armor, weapons and other items. These stones are special stones that increase the level of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. Moreover, players can obtain these stones by completing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". This will display a menu showing the item's current level and what it will be when being leveled up, along with the required amount of Growth Stones to do so. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Typically, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.
After deciding what to upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the requirements are met, the player can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can take between a few seconds and minutes, based on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is risk-free and will not impact the longevity of the item. The system is a great way for players who wish to get an edge in battle but don't want spend a lot of money. Additionally players can transfer experience and progress of an upgraded item to a new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be a challenge for players who are new to the game. There are many ways to acquire these stones. You can finish contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, collect them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that lets you increase the stats of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials, and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume upgrade materials and grant the item upgrader an increased level, which gives the item an additional boost in that particular area. This process can continue until the item reaches its maximum level.
Items that have upgraded base stats display the blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, cannot be added to more than one item at a time. Each upgrade item component also requires an amount of items and a minimum equipment level.
The upgrade item Station has two slots: the left is where players can put in an item to be upgraded, while the right shows a preview of what the gear will look like when it reaches its next level. When the player has enough items, pressing the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its stats will increase by a small percentage. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item upgrader kit reaches its maximum capacity that it can no longer have the option to upgrade. Likewise, once an item is on a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades to that track will have discounted prices.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that is able to be inserted into weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to give an additional effect or bonus when the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs, which can be removed and replaced freely.
Requirements
Item upgrades give players the ability to increase certain stats of weapons and armor they currently own. The requirements to upgrade items an item vary depending on its type however, you'll usually require Dilithium and the number of Upgrade tokens.
The items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to weapons and equipment. This gives them extra effects or an increased item level. These upgrades can come from many sources, including crafting, purchasing at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is placed in an item it cannot be removed and replaced freely, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped without restriction.
Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components include additional modifiers that could further enhance the stats of the item.
The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases defense base and provides an additional 20% chance to block. The DPS "Wildfire" on the other hand increases damage from weapons.
Upgrades can be beneficial to some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players when they achieve the perfect roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for instance is highly sought-after by the melee PvP communities and could be worth as much as 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.
The game will show you the requirements when you select the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. This includes the type of item (either Weapon or Armor) the tier of the item and the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
If you've fulfilled the requirements for upgrading the game will put the item in your inventory and the progress bar will be updated to indicate how close to completing it. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
