World of Warcraft - item upgrader Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost an item level upgrade's gear score up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like a perfectly made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, don't change much post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition there are many weapons with a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. This bonus may exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade item the gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. While this is generally an excellent thing, it can have some negative consequences as well. In the case of items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them can render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to increase their performance. This can increase the defense of a helm or chest while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it is able to reduce its value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain when upgraded and their relative values. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 fewer times because it's an absolute statistic.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the Item Upgrader kit menu, using the arrows that circle. This will reroll an item upgrades and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make the world of difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, making the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you have on your character, the greater health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four of them each of which requires you to complete a special side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and completed the corresponding fountain, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you're looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For instance, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to withstand the full-on assault with a handful of friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to concentrate on upgrading it for physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for the armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use for the final boss battle as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to gain some benefits to your armor. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have some upgrades to the chest armor and helmets so that you can sneak around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, if consumed, give the user a temporary status effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing the effectiveness of their effects. Additionally the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or the chest of the Alchemist. However, the upgrade price will vary based on the type of potion you'd like to upgrade, as well as on the item upgrader's Mark Level and rarity.

To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI where you can choose the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanism of potions. For example the splash potions now have the duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item). The table of potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can now be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be combined in cauldrons. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the contents and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to enhance their effect. The table of potion ingredients is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small, inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that has a purpose but is not important such as a Thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets, unlike other items which can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing stats.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It is possible to upgrade players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as the older one, and include an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Trinkets can be upgraded when the old ones are no longer needed which allows a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can also be traded between players and are an attractive alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their highest priority items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are first upgraded, followed by their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't replace anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade players should also consider their class's preferred statistics. For instance If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and helm.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they no longer have value and the new trinket will receive an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. Re-upgrading will destroy the trinket unless it can be salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
