Unicode defines glyphs, assigning an identifier for each symbol. This allows them to appear in various fonts. Some glyphs come in multiple forms, like swashes and small caps. Some glyphs only have one form, for instance the capital letter A. The Glyphs panel has a search box that allows you to search by the name of the glyph and its CID or GID or Unicode value. You can also use the context menu for an glyph to create a new character or modify the glyph.
The context menu in the Glyphs Panel lets you select a font that will be used for glyphs in the set. You can also choose to save a font that has an added glyph. The Glyphs Panel displays the font selection when a glyph is associated with more than one font.
The glyph metrics of fonts can affect the layout of text. A glyph, for instance could have an area that is the length it takes to reach the top of the font. The glyph might also have side bearings, which are white spaces on the left or right sides of the font. These side bearings, also known as kernings, affect the way the glyph appears in the document.
Glyphs are upgraded at a Glyph Upgrade Altar, which is located in the Nightmare Dungeons. Each Nightmare Dungeon has a specific amount of time to be completed, following which the Glyph Upgrade altar will be revealed. The altar will let players spend the Glyph XP they've earned by playing the dungeon, and it will increase the number of the nearby Paragon Board nodes in its radius.
The hero can add stat bonuses from each glyph to his total. These bonuses can help you decide on which glyphs you should upgrade, and where to put them in the Paragon Board.

Set Bonus
A set bonus is an extra effect that can be added to a piece of equipment. The effect boosts certain stats or abilities and gives them more power or utility. Each set bonus has a unique effect. These bonuses are specific to the gear that gives them. Each set bonus has a specific amount it offers, and this value is important to know when choosing the right equipment for your character.
There are 15 different bonuses available in Breath of Wild. Some of these bonuses require activation by the player, while others are passive. Some of these effects are linked to the armor, while others are tied to a modification or enhancement of the Item Upgrader mod. Unlike the glyphs, the set bonuses do not reset when you upgrade your equipment.
If you purchase a brand new piece of gear it will come with its own set bonus, which may be a tiny increase in damage or defense. For example the Blood Mandate set provides a small cold and fire damage boost. There are only five copies of the set bonus per character.
Other set bonuses could offer protection against specific types of enemies, or an increase in cooldowns. Certain armor sets may even provide a buff to certain types of weapons. For example the Bone Weap set bonus prevents Stal enemies from attacking and boosts the damage of bone weapons. This is particularly useful for hunters who like to utilize bone weapons.
The majority of players choose the bonus that best fits their class. They want to maximize their character's performance and make the most of it. The majority of the set bonuses are different for each class and it's difficult to decide which one is best.
Certain of these set bonuses can be obtained by acquiring items called tokens, which are acquired by turning in a large amount of warzone praises at an operations vendor. They can also be dropped by bosses of Operations or other content, such as level 75 dailies and weeklies.
