Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment results in an increase in the linearity of any stat.

Players can recycle six items at once to gauge each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling an item increases depending on its rarity and.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished by a number of means, including using upgrade components and increasing an item's mark level or rarity. Many items can also be reforged to increase their value.

Upgradeable items are available all over the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be created by players. The primary method to upgrade equipment is by making use of upgrade components which are components that can be slotted into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots for upgrading, and many require a certain amount of upgrade item. Certain upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while others offer a general bonus.

There are many types of upgrade elements available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. The universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments can be placed on any kind of equipment and provide smaller bonuses than equipment-specific upgrades. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools and provide numerous bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed of an item's gathering to providing additional crafting materials.

To upgrade an item, select it in your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The window will show an overview on the right side of the screen showing what the expected stats are after the upgrade, as well as any required components or materials. The Upgrade button at the bottom will show blocked if you don't have enough of either.

The upper-right corner shows the number of upgrade items components required for the specific item. The cost of upgrading increases with the level of the upgrade and its rarity, but it can be reduced using various methods, such as buying upgrades at a merchant or trading them to other players.

Almost all weapons can be upgraded by a prefix upgrade, such as an insignia or rune. Many can be upgraded with a suffix upgrade. These upgrades add an adjective to the item upgrader mod's name for example "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to convey visual information. They move to catch the attention of the viewers and trigger interest in the brain. The animation of glyphs mimics body language, making them more effective at conveying a message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs also evoke a sense of familiarity in the brain, thereby increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph has a range of values it can improve a stat by according to the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an Artifact. This is the maximum value that the glyph can improve a stat by and not the amount it actually improves the stat by. The value of the glyph is contingent on the tier and quality of the item that you are admiring.

Most upgrade components inserted into items are not able to be repaired or replaced without dismantling the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. However, if you have an unusable rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your equipment, you can transfer it to a different piece of gear by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.

You can take out a glyph by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item will be destroyed that it was installed in, but you can recover the upgraded item with the glyph and its shards so this should not be considered a loss.

Adding a glyph to an item can cause it to become unstable and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you take it down. You can also add an inscription to your equipment to add an additional benefit. Deferred Damage, for example, can store damage and then be dealt slowly to the wearer instead of all at one time. This is helpful for players who take many hits from enemies, but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes they use on their weapons and equipment and can be found in a variety of ways like mistery boxes or as a rare drop from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Each reroll token grants the player a brand new random affix, which is typically superior to the one they had before. Reroll tokens are also a good method to reroll the stats of a weapon that can be upgraded to increase damage or perks.

Items that have been rerolled may not appear in the upgrade menu, but they can still receive upgrades. These rerolled items are able to be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button, which changes the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to be selected to recycle. Recycling an item adds small amount of points to its level gauge. The amount is by the item's rarity and also its level. Therefore, items that are higher level are more valuable for recycling than items with lower levels.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling Weapon Traits to upgrade units. Rerolls will roll a % chance to determine a weapon's trait. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower, the weapon remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.

Rerolls are a great option for upgrading an item, however, players should be aware that it could reduce the overall ilvl the weapon based on the number of rerolls needed to increase it to the final level. This effect of lowering is most effective with ring items and Diadems, which have no alternatives to raise their ilvls.

The system of rerolls has been criticised by players as being too expensive, and it would be more fair to let people pay for it using money or a food item which would allow players to modify their build without wasting time and energy. The developers do not plan to introduce paid rerolls at this stage in the game's development. Instead, they're planning to add an ability to change races in the future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to boost the value of an item upgrade. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade, which increases the upgrade value of any stat. The second option is to boost the effect of an upgrade, which increases damage or healing for the stat. Finally there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to a higher upgrade type. When this is done, the new item will maintain its iLevel but it will be upgraded with the effects of the upgraded item level upgrade type.

It is important to keep in mind that upgrades can be random. Most of the time, a better roll will result from glyphs, but there are also opportunities for higher or more special rolls. The type of item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or unique item to a specific kind of item, it has a chance of receiving a higher level.

Upgrades to items can be costly, particularly if you're upgrading a piece of gear from the normal to the legendary track. The cost of upgrading an item will be contingent on the iLevel it's built upon as well as the number of upgrade levels. Certain upgrade tracks require crests to be completed in order to move on to the next level.

If you're fortunate the upgraded item could reach the maximum level on its upgrade track and gain an additional effect. This will result in a significant increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level, however. In general, the upgrade item effect is increased by a number of +3.

Based on the item's level of base and upgrade path, the iLevel of the upgraded item will change too. For example an item upgraded from being a rare or unique item to an exceptional one will have the chance to gain the enhanced defense of the new base item.
