The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations applied.

For example, the elite shield for racial discrimination Razortail is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorb function in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to roll a purchased item such as armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced by another item of the same type, but with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an affordable method of upgrading gear. However, they do not retain the quality of the original item and any resources wasted won't be compensated for.

Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors through several means like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in chests and crates or purchase them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of an item of equipment, for example increasing its damage.

Players can reroll equipment in three attributes, physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power increases the damage done by weapons and melee attacks, while spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades provide the player with an extra health.

There are three kinds of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher-quality and requires a higher-level reroll token in order to create it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item upgrading, rare upgrades require a special or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The marker that rerolls, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces, remains on the space till the next Success is to be rerolled. This helps you avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Stage, and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. New players may find it difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are many ways to obtain them. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is an optional feature that allows players to increase the stats of their weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will be upgraded to an upgrade to a higher level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level of an Best item upgrade is attained.

Items that have upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components do not stack with each other, but can only be added to one item at one time. Additionally, each upgrade component will require a certain amount of items to be applied, as well as an initial level for the equipment.

Item upgrades give players the ability to boost certain stats on weapons and armor they currently have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on its type however, you'll generally require Dilithium as well as an amount of Upgrade Tokens.

Upgrades to items can be used to make sets and weapons for extra effects or a higher level of the item.
