Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a special item upgrader that makes certain Pokemon develop. The Upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc and can be given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.

Upgrades can be applied to armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools in order to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, depending on the type of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give bonus effects or attribute bonuses while the equipment is being used. The equipment that is upgraded must have an available upgrade slot to accept the component, and most upgrade components require the item upgrade being upgraded to be at a certain level. Some upgrade components have special visual effects that can be seen when they are applied. Upgrade components can be acquired through crafting, purchased from karma traders or exchanged with other players on the Trading Post, used to repair equipment, or obtained as rewards in games.

There are various upgrade components, each with a different bonus. Universal upgrades like gems and inscriptions are able to be used on any type of equipment. They provide fewer bonuses than other kinds of upgrade component. Infusions can be found in non-amulet ascended equipment as well as legendary equipment, and enrichments are used for some items that are ascended back. Inserting an upgrade component will cause the destruction of the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs which can only be inserted in gathering tools, and enchantments. Both can be removed and reinserted.

Insignias, enchantments, and prefix/suffix upgrades will appear in the hover display of the item, and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia could change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will display the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to add functional and decorative elements to an OpenType font. They include ligatures, fractions or ornaments, as well as registered trademark symbols, ellipses, swashes and swashes. The Glyphs panel lets you see and insert these particular characters as well as standard glyphs such as em dashes and en dieshes registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides a character with a boost in their primary stats. It also comes with up to four secondary stats that affect the glyph's radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage boost which is multiplied by other bonuses, excluding Speed Glyphs that directly increase the hero’s speed.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will open a new window showing the Glyphs you own that can be applied to the item you have selected. You are only able to apply the appropriate Glyph to the item you have selected. Every weapon or armor piece has its own collection of Glyphs.

Glyphs can be upgraded by completing Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult a Dungeon is, the greater Glyph experience you will gain. Once a Glyph has reached the level 15, it can be upgraded on the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The Paragon Board's radius increases by one node for every 15 levels at which a Glyph is upgraded.

Once a glyph has been elevated to the desired level, you can activate it by selecting it, then clicking the "enchant" button. The resulting Glyph will give its stated benefit, and boost other nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be put in areas that will benefit your building the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs may also offer double bonus when certain conditions are fulfilled.

Click the cycle widget to change the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views displays the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow the selection of glyphs further using an option under "Entire Font": for example, punctuation displays only punctuation glyphs; Math symbols narrows the choice to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is a method in which you create a brand new account to give yourself more chances to access the character or weapon you are interested in. It is done to increase your level faster, or to get more valuable loot like a new weapon for your character. Many players reroll until they get the characters they like regardless of their abilities. This could be due to the fact that they like the character's style or their personality.

It is important to make clean changes every time you roll back. This means you should verify locally that the patch passes the pre-commit tests and conduct a core development check. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue with plain diff (see What about an interdiff? ).

Rerolls can be weeks or days long depending on how fortunate you are. During this time, it is recommended to avoid any optional enemy camps to avoid wasting time. Additionally it is recommended to not repeat any quests that can be completed later in the game. This can save you time and energy.

Another important aspect to consider when rerolling is to be sure you are aware of the upgrade system. There are numerous ways to enhance your character's appearance as well as power. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. In addition, it's crucial to be aware of the limitations of the upgrade system.

Rerolling isn't an absolute requirement, but it is an option to increase the chances of acquiring a certain character or weapon. It could be beneficial in the case of trying to find the best character or if you're looking to try different styles of play and builds.

Sets

A set is a collection of objects with common-2 attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or members of a class). Sets are used for operations like intersection, union and difference.

When you upgrade an item upgrader mod, it transforms into an upgraded version that is better than the previous version. For weapons and armor this means that it gets an increased base defense value and less strength requirements and a lower level requirement.

Upgrades can bring popular items from single sets up to parity with items in higher-tier sets. Upgrades like Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired helmet can increase the defense from 217 to 321 and decrease the strength and levels to an acceptable range.

It's important to remember that not all items in a set can be upgraded. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzlers are exceptional in their own right and don't require upgrading. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and have a lot of use (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their performance even more. For such items, it may be worth the extra cost to upgrade item them.
