iRobot recommends you clear out areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, which includes getting rid of any clutter or toys it may encounter. You should also keep the dustbin and filters free of dirt to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station, and it automatically empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. In our tests the i7+ performed quicker and more maneuverable than our second-placed model which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface kinds including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and reduces recurring costs.
We were also impressed with the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions and also to move around the room and to vacuum a particular area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. After being connected, to give voice commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.
