Item upgrading allows players to upgrade their weapons and gear by adding new affixes, boosting its base stats or providing additional benefits. To upgrade items, the player must have the item in their inventory and have access to the kiln.

Usually, items that have weak bases (like rings) can be upgraded to a more powerful base, whereas items with strong bases such as eth titans do not vary significantly in their stats after being upgraded.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools, giving an attribute bonus or additional impact when the equipment is being used.
