The best automatic vacuum and mop Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and it will leave your floors clean. Its price is surprisingly low and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are pluses.

Be sure to regularly inspect your robot's brushes for hair that is tangled and large particles and wash them if required. Some models can also self-empty the dust bin on board and then deposit it in a larger bin located at the base. This helps reduce the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we've test. They are equipped with motors that are top of the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other premium iRobots (including the top model) they utilize intelligent mapping to design precise floorplans that avoid obstacles like furniture leg. They also feature carpet boost which boosts the robot's power when it detects the presence of dirt on the carpet, allowing it clean quickly.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests on floors that were bare and are especially adept in cleaning dog hair. However, they do have a few flaws that keep them from being our top choice. For instance, the Q5's navigation system doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to getting hung up on shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate rooms with a lot of people efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

Still, it's very good for those who want to save money on a Roomba from iRobot and have a bare-floored home or office. It's also quiet and works while you are at work or school. The only thing it's missing that you can't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle, however. If you need to mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with a wet one in just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that can sweep floors. Its smart cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean and effective in dealing with larger particles like pet hair. It also comes with an impressive suction system and self-emptying bin. It's the best robot vacuum and mop robot hoover for carpets but it's not as good as other hoovers when it comes to deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time to offer better cleaning. The app lets you customize zones and change the cleaning schedule. It has a battery life that is comparable to other models.

You can tell the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and extend them when in a carpeted room which prevents cross-contamination. Its flex arm can also be utilized to reach under low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During testing during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete an entire home, and it did so with only 66 percent of its battery left. It also did a good job of cleaning a mix of floors and rooms with mixed flooring types, including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog socks, turds, and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor best robot hoover after it vacuums, a feature that we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combinations.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

This robot vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular design that looks more like the regular Roomba model than the boxy models of the competition. It is one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is its most advanced, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's the only robotic vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.

Like other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, best robot hoover with an intuitive mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only real drawback is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device which could be a problem if you run it in the morning before work or in the evening as you try to fall asleep.

It's also a bit costly but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally capable and better looking. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's very capable however, it's more expensive and make more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot automatic vacuum cleaner and mop with many advanced features to help you get rid of your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine that is similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and refills the water tank, as well as washes and dry mop pads.

The smart robot vacuum cleaners reviews employs an array of LIDAR and structured light to draw out the floor plan and detect obstacles, making it more efficient than its top competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time detection of hazards but this was not 100% foolproof during our tests and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner comes with an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also comes with a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas in the home based on how dirty those areas are.

For larger homes it's worth looking for one with zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean a specific area of your home by using the app or voice commands. If you have a lot of furniture, a stair mode is also useful. Finally, a recharge and resume function that lets your robot vacuum pick up right where it left off is great for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you'd imagine from its price. It is a great job vacuuming, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with only one pad and a reciprocating motion which is cleaner than the majority of the robot vacuum that vacuums and mops mop cleaners that we've tried. It's self-sufficient too, with a fully-featured app as well as a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate an exercise in mapping which collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or to organize the spot-cleaning. You can also use it to rank your most filthy areas to improve performance. The app also grants access to a host of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It also has the ability to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It is equipped with an impressive 8000 Pascal suction as well as clever combs for removing pet hair. It also has the ability to set up a spot clean that thoroughly cleans a particular area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's more appealing, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It is capable of vacuuming but is more prone to getting caught on low thresholds and is noisier than the other top robotic vacuums we've tried. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that can't be used as a bin for emptying.
