World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will be able to gain 3% of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the back items that are not ascending. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment with fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will be revealed in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a significant risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes within their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible to level 15.

In the endgame you'll find that the Best item upgrader way to improve your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes much faster.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

The use of the Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For example an Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, however, you may also want to think about placing them near crucial damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an individual player upgrades the equipment they have, the base item is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a problem in that it could cause the item to become more expensive if you don't need it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens in order to do so. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item upgrades that has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This is a good idea however it shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like dolphins). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to return to its original state and the player having to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item upgrader kit fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as chances to be crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance it will be applied before any attack damage increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item upgrades definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For example, they may need less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to take every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
