World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item upgrader's current level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before a component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using fewer upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be revealed in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even in the event that they don't know what will be improved after an update.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it's possible that the item will become obsolete or even break if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate possibility of failure, and some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is best to place Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items may be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item upgrader kit requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an individual player upgrade the equipment they have it will be replaced with a new item. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback, as the item can become more expensive even if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with the same item level upgrade, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be repeated often, as it can waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player continuously enters or exits the water. This item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is very important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

item upgrading [see post] allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate items and currency to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item returning to its original condition and the player having to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonus it earned, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in the chance of crit, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to the value of the base item. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the costs mentioned above.
