The i3+ does not have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have test. It could be stuck on power cords and socks, and may have trouble navigating between different surfaces like carpet and hardwood.

iRobot recommends that you tidy the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it may encounter. It's also recommended to keep the dust bin and filter clean so they aren't clogged by dirt. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is low it goes back to its docking station, automatically empties its dirt into the station's external dustbin and then resumes cleaning where it left off. The battery's lifespan is around an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to fully charge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line, and it comes with all the latest features. It has self cleaning vacuum-charging and self-navigating, but the most significant feature is its self-emptying bin. This removes the need for self-cleaning robot Vacuums regular maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ can map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot with voice or via the app.

The i7+ is faster and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying that removes a major source of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room and vacuum the area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. Once connected, we were able to give the i7+ voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is a sports car that is amidst a sea of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.

The V10 is powered with a 7-cell energy-dense Lithium-ion battery that produces power that is not fading for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filter system captures allergens, and then releases cleaner air into your home. The cleaning head is specially designed to drive stiff nylon bristles deep into carpets to trap large dust and crumbs. It comes with three suction modes to suit the task that is being completed.
